About

My first career aspiration as a child was to be a writer. I even created my first children’s book based on flowers in my mom’s garden that I made into characters. I typed it up using my family’s old typewriter and left room on the page to draw in my own illustrations.

When I wasn’t feverishly working on my writing I was running around, climbing trees, wiping out on my skateboard, and spending hours in the woods.

I am still a lot like my 8-year-old self!

These days I have a professional bank job during the day, but my desire to run over mountains, write introspective and inspiring content, contribute, and make the world a better place are still driving forces of mine.

I started my own 501(c)3 in August of 2018, which I never thought I’d do in a million years! Becoming a kidney donor has launched my life in a direction that allows me to touch lives and truly leave the world better than I found it. My goal of continuing to run ultramarathons post-donation has caused people to challenge the way they viewed living donors. We can still do anything we want!

The website is my next step in my life adventure, to incorporate more of what I love into my every day, and share it with you at the same time.  This website is intended to leave people better than I found them. I want you to be happy you found this site, see the good, be inspired. Even if you just smile because of one thing you see here, that’s a win.

Almost exactly one year after building this website I started to take control of my finances. I decided that Dave Ramsey knew a heck of a lot more than I do, so I would follow his advice. After two years of intense focus, I hit my goal of becoming debt-free! My next chapter is a focus on aggressive saving, living frugally, and consciously spending on things that truly bring me happiness.

Welcome to the place that inspires positive change.  I’m glad you’re here.
