I mentioned in a previous post that I really like visual tools to help keep me on track to paying off my debt. Marking each day on the calendar has really helped! I get a green star every day that I do not use credit, and gold bars around the entire week when I don’t use credit at all.
I killed it in October! I don’t even know the last time I went a whole month without using credit. It was just part of what I did.
Not anymore!
Brief October recap:
I paid down $1,171.36 in principal.
I hit the $1,000 mark in my emergency fund ahead of schedule.
I cash flowed a (mostly shitty) vacation.
I never used credit once. Yay!
I’m only two months into this journey, but I have a $1,000 emergency fund in place and have paid down 5.5% of all my debt so far. Not bad for such a short time!
